Men: Radical Mentoring

What is Radical Mentoring?

Radical Mentoring is a nine-month investment in your spiritual life that pays dividends in your relationship with God, your marriage, your parenting and your own personal growth and wholeness.

What’s “radical” about it?
Radical means “very different from the usual or traditional.” If you want the status quo for your life and you’re content with who you are, then Radical Mentoring isn’t for you. You’re good!

But if you believe there’s more to God and life than you’ve experienced, Radical Mentoring may be for you. In a supportive environment, we’ll explore topics including:

  • How does God see me? How do I see me?

  • How can a regular guy follow Jesus in this chaotic world?

  • How can I manage competing time demands?

  • Is there such a thing as sanctified sexuality?

  • What are the mechanics of marriage?

  • How can I pray with others and not feel weird?

  • How can I have friendships beyond news, sports and weather?

Radical mentoring requires a real commitment:

  • We set the dates.

  • We do the homework.

  • We show up.

What do you do?
We are each assigned a small group and a leader and meet once per month. The once-per-month meetings can last up to three hours. It probably won’t take that long, but plan on it and don’t double book. Each month has a theme (which you can see below). The leader does not teach, but facilitates discussion on what the group has learned. With the assistance of a study guide, we can help one another experience and apply the truth of God’s word.

  • We discuss the topic.

  • We pray for one another’s challenges.

  • We encourage one another.

What don’t you do?
We never pressure anyone to reveal personal details they aren’t comfortable sharing. We don’t condemn. We don’t judge. We don’t betray confidences.

Want in?
We’d love to have you because we all need one other. As men, we are better and stronger together. With that said, there is an important commitment to sign. Please read it carefully: You’re making a commitment to God and to the men in your group.
