Missionary Prayer Update

Phil & Vala Long | Madagascar

Encouragement: An offer for land for a permanent church facility was accepted, and the sending church committed toward the purchase.

Pray for: The remaining funds needed for the property, completion of the purchase, and lasting Gospel ministry through the future church facility.

Levi & Chelsea Wilson | South Sudan

Encouragement: Ten young people professed faith at youth camp; nine-year-old Morris prepared and shared a Bible lesson, and Kiden prayed to receive Christ. Young believers are involved in evangelism and discipleship, and women from two churches reconciled after a dispute.

Pray for: Growth and discipleship for new believers and youth camp attendees; faithfulness for Morris and other young believers; and peace and stability surrounding a possible December election.
Encouragement: More than 50 attended a men’s meeting, discipleship commitments were made, church attendance averaged over 200, and nine people were saved at summer camp.

Pray for: Continued salvations and discipleship, development of new leaders, and completion of volunteer background checks.
Encouragement: Cody and Cassidy shared their testimonies and calling to Italy at two churches in the Houston area and enjoyed fellowship at the Texas BBF meeting. They report reaching approximately 36% of their ministry partnership goal, and Rowan has been doing well during their travels.

Pray for: Wisdom for their December survey trip to Italy and finding a place to begin their ministry; safe travel, including an upcoming trip to California; additional supporting partners; and opportunities to encourage Mission University students to consider full-time missions.

Ryan Jones | MANNA Worldwide, Asia

Encouragement: Former nutrition-center students in Cambodia are now leading churches and schools. Ministry visits in South Korea, Mongolia, China, and Fiji highlighted changed lives, medical outreach, care for children, and practical help for churches. Ryan and Kim are also grateful that their daughter, Reaghan, is recovering well after emergency surgery.

Pray for: Safe travel and strength during upcoming dental and medical outreaches in Togo and Thailand; protection for believers facing opposition in Mongolia; continued fruit from ministry among children and families; and health and encouragement for the Jones family.

Craig Stevenson | MANNA Worldwide, Europe

Encouragement: In Rogova, Romania, students from Oak Hill Baptist Church returned to serve in a building their predecessors prayed over in 2006. The former bar became a church and MANNA Nutrition Center, now feeding 40–50 children daily. Mihaela, once a child at the center, now brings her own children there. In Tinca, Denisa also brings her son to the nutrition center where she came to faith. Father’s House completed its first licensing home visit, and Vlad Rezmer’s family continues serving in Ukraine.

Pray for: Continued Gospel ministry to children and families in Rogova and Tinca; Denisa, Mihaela, and their children; Father’s House’s second licensing visit and final training; and protection, strength, and provision for Vlad’s family and those affected by the war in Ukraine.

Jiana (Ji) Schrock | South Asia

Encouragement: Ji reports that local pastors are receiving biblical discipleship training. At a three-day women’s training, 31 women participated and set goals to share the Gospel with 129 people and train 140 believers. A woman Ji disciples helped teach and translate, and is growing in confidence as she shares her faith.

Pray for: Faithfulness and encouragement for local pastors; spiritual growth for the women Ji is discipling; courage and wisdom as they share the Gospel and equip others; and strength for Ji during a season of transition.

Scott & Kristi Hudgins | MANNA Worldwide

Encouragement: Daniela, a graduate of the Training & Discipleship School in Colombia, began a three-month internship serving with a MANNA partner church in Santiago, Chile. Following an earthquake in Colombia, MANNA and partner churches have assisted 24 families in need and shared the hope of the Gospel through relief work.

Pray for: Daniela’s remaining internship and growth in ministry; families recovering from the earthquake; strength and wisdom for local church partners coordinating relief; and continued opportunities to share the Gospel.
